Methods of Payment:
We accept VISA, MasterCard,
American Express, and Discover cards. We also accept Money
Orders, Bank Drafts, personal checks, and COD.
Personal Check Policy:
Personal check orders will be
held for 7 business days to allow funds to clear. Checks
must be imprinted with name and address. Starter checks
not accepted. All personal checks are subject to complete
address and bank verification. Returned checks subject
to a $35 charge or maximum allowed by law.
COD Policy:
Orders shipped COD can only be paid with
a Money Order or Bank Draft. Neither UPS nor FedEx will
accept cash. The customer is responsible for shipping and
COD charges on refused/returned packages. This amount will
remain open on the customer’s account and is due
immediately with credit card or money order.
Product Pricing:
The majority of our products
are sourced from European manufacturers. Currency fluctuations
between the US Dollar and the Euro can greatly affect the
cost of obtaining goods. Also, parts for vintage scooters
are becoming more difficult to locate as manufacturers
discontinue production. As supply diminishes, our cost
to obtain these parts for you increases. All prices subject
to change.
Errors:
We do our best to make sure the
correct photo, price, and copy are shown
in our Web site, but sometimes we make
a mistake. In the event of any such mistake, we reserve
the right to charge the correct price, to ship the correct
item, and/or to correct the mistake.

TOWN, INC. MAKES NO WARRANTY CLAIMS AS TO THE PRODUCTS
IT DISTRIBUTES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION
ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE. HOWEVER, SCOOT AROUND
TOWN, INC. WILL PASS ON
ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES MADE BY THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER,
WHO HAS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY FOR PERFORMING ANY SUCH
WARRANTIES.
THE MANUFACTURER SHALL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE
FOR ANY DAMAGES TO PERSON OR PROPERTY ARISING FROM THE
DESIGN, MANUFACTURE, AND TESTING OF ITS PRODUCTS. SCOOT
AROUND TOWN, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INCIDENTAL,
OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES AS A RESULT OF ANY MANUFACTURER'S
BREACH OF ITS WARRANTY.
Prices and Payment:
Prices and payment
are conducted in US $ Dollars and do NOT include VAT or
applicable DUTIES. Prices are subject to change. Orders
by Credit Card will require a facsimile of all pertinent
details, including card holder name, billing address, card
number, expiration date, CVV security code, and the signature
of card holder. Our fax number is 001.734.484.9875. Orders
will only be shipped to the cardholder at the billing address.
Backorders:
Parts and items will sometimes
be temporarily out of stock. When this happens, we will
let you know immediately. Backorders will ONLY be placed
upon customer request and WILL BE SENT when product arrives
in our warehouse unless cancelled by the customer. We will
hold backorders for 45 days, at which point they will
be cancelled. It will be the customer’s responsibility
to re-order the item after that time. Back ordered items
are NEVER charged to the customer before they ship. Standard
shipping rates will apply to all back orders. Back orders
are not possible on COD or international orders.
